SHUR/Clean™ Fume Hoods
|
TBS has been providing fume containment/capture devices on many of our products for years. Because these vapor management systems have so effectively contained tissue processor, slide stainer and coverslipper hazardous fumes, many customers have asked us to offer a line of bench-top fume hoods to help manage routine manual histological processes. Three popular SHUR/Clean™ Fume Hood styles are now available from stock to manage noxious fumes. An Active Sloped-Front Fume Hood features hinged sashes for manual grossing and/or staining applications, an Open-Front Passive model accommodates the TBS SHUR/Wave™ microwave tissue processor and a Downdraft instrument addresses manual coverslipping vapors. |
ACTIVE
The Sloped-Front Fume Hood model features two 174 cfm high speed fans that pull contaminated air through two 8” x 8” prefilters to remove dust & particulate matter and two 8” x 8” charcoal filters to provide the protection needed for hazardous fume absorption. Double-hinged front sash provides convenient access for multiple applications. |

PASSIVE
SHUR/Clean™ hoods are also available without filters for installations to be externally exhausted. 6” ports can be ordered on the top as shown or rear mounted. Double hinged front sash provides convenient access for multiple applications. Contact your local architect and/or mechanical contractor to determine what accessories will be required to comply with local building codes. |

 Seen here is a TBS SHUR/Clean™ microwave tissue processor with 6 of the medium reagent containers. Based on the number of and bowl size utilized, select the hood and optional shelf that best meets your microwave processing requirements. |

Rigid support tables with leveling legs are available for any hood size from 36(92) to 48(122)in (cm). Table height adjusts for user comfort from 28 (72) to 34 (87) in (cm) in two inch increments.

 SHUR/Clean™ Coverslipping Downdraft Fume Extractor
SHUR/Clean™ Downdraft Ductless Fume Hood, for coverslipping applications utilizing xylene based mounting mediums. Microprocessor control of on/off times and fan speed provides unparalleled efficiencies and robust fume management. Ductless, compact and portable. Fumes are pulled down by a 225cfm fan through a perforated work surface and absorbed by a replaceable activated charcoal cartridge. |
