ATP Tissue Processor |
| |
|
| |
UNIQUE FEATURES:
Reliable Processing:
With a single precision rotary valve, the ATP safely transports both reagents and waxes to and from
the retort, thereby preventing solution crossover, while
improving tissue quality. Whereas dual valves or solenoids,
found on competing systems often contribute to rising
service costs in order to maintain a well-functioning
instrument, the single valve system is virtually "maintenance
free". Additionally, warm water flushes are no longer
required as a weekly maintenance function to keep the
rotary valve clean. This labor intensive task is required
on some competing models.
Unsurpassed Tissue Quality:
To achieve superior tissue infiltration, the ATP
is a step ahead of "stir bar" agitation, introducing
a unique retort circulation of fluid movement called "bubbling".
Bubbling circulates greater volumes of solution uniformly
at each level within the chamber. ATP customers
have an added option of using spring dividers to organize
their tissue cassettes so that reagent infiltration is
further optimized.
Specimen Safety:
Operators have peace of mind knowing that tissues are
always safe during processing from either overfill or
underfill conditions in the retort. In the event of a
failure, the reagent recovery system will suspend the
processing sequence, fill the retort from the previous
station, then continue to process while bypassing the
affected station.
Enhanced Efficiency:
The ATP is priced to meet today's limited lab
operating budgets. Because it has been manufactured to
accommodate 2 tissue baskets or 300 cassettes, the reagent
required is just 2.5 liters of reagent solution. On average,
solution saved would be 38% for each program run!
Improved Reagent Container Design:
Reagent loading and unloading is more convenient than
ever! Reagent containers are completely sealed, making
transport and loading of solution safer. The system is
designed to accept pre-packaged reagents for added convenience.
User Friendly Software:
The ATP's rapid start-up procedure will enhance
the labs daily workflow with its state-of-the-art software
program. Choose from "one-touch" selection key
control of either daily, immediate, weekend or holiday
program schedules to initiate a program. For example,
the end time may be changed any time, even at the last
possible minute without leaving the start-up screen. Competing
processors are not able to perform this edit function.
The ATP's distinctive LCD display screen views your entire
processing schedule, the time, date, day, and program
name while monitoring the status of all other processing
parameters. In conjunction with quick, one-touch selection
keys, the ATP offers flexibility in choosing four options
of vacuum, pressure and unique "bubbling" circulation
to enhance tissue quality.
Stainless Retort:
The ergonomically designed ATP will process up to 300
cassettes in an easy-to-clean stainless steel processing
chamber. The retort has been engineered to be compatible
to the width of the tissue baskets, so that excess solution
is not required during processing. Begin processing worry
free, the ATP has eliminated solution level sensors!
Sealed, Wax Bath System:
The ATP exclusively offers 4 wax container bottles with
a "reserve wax" bath that may be used as a quick
change when rotating paraffin. Since the waxes are enclosed
in a sealed container, escaping xylene fumes and spillage
are never a problem. Disposal of used paraffin is easier
than on conventional processors that have open wax baths.
Additionally, after each processing run, the retort chamber
will remain warm so specimens can be delivered efficiently
for embedding. Never worry about messy wax spillage during
specimen transfer. As an added convenience, the operator
may wait to perform a purge cycle at a convenient time
after each program run without being concerned of having
a paraffin plug on the processor.
Sealed Charcoal Filter System:
The ATP provides complete fume control for lab personnel
and is the only processor that offers a sealed container
versus cardboard or cassette systems found on competing
model processors. Removal of harmful, toxic vapors is
more efficient using a sealed container and is easy to
change when necessary. ATP charcoal containers are less
costly to replace than cassette filters and more fume
efficient and safer to handle than cardboard filters systems.
Reagent Management:
The computer automatically monitors the program status
and selects the cleanest reagents based on past processing
cycles. The onboard computer will propose reagents that
need to be changed or renewed and select the schedule
accordingly without manually having to change bottles.
